Undervalued Asset once more confirmed she is a filly to watch wherever she turns up next.
The Speightstown filly out of Hard Headed Temper (Hard Spun) rallied down the short home stretch to grab 2nd in Friday night's Gr3 Charles Town Oaks behind Vahva. The two fillies placed 1-2 in the same order when contesting an early May allowance at Churchill Downs (photo).
A winner or 2nd in five of six career starts, Undervalued Asset was a $150,000 Keeneland November weanling graduate. A 2yo debut winner for Klaravich Stables & GSP her very next start, the most telling result may wind up that close 2nd at to rising star Vahva on the Kentucky Oaks undercard.
Hurstland Farm co-bred & reared, Hard Headed Temper is out of SP Doc's Destiny (Doc's Leader) & 1/2 sister to Gr1 runner-up Heart of Destiny. Hard Spun is broodmare sire of Good Magic, plus Gr1 winners in the U.K. & Japan.
