Destino d'Oro made her anticipated return to the races Sunday at Belmont Park and finished 3rd to MGSW Dynamic Pricing in the featured Forever Together S.
Unraced since March, a month before being withdrawn from Keeneland's Gr1 Jenny Wiley S. Destino d'Oro turned in a useful prep at newly reopened Belmont. The Hurstland Farm graduate rallied from last in the five-horse field to place 3rd in the Listed Forever Together over the rain softened Widener turf course.
A Gr1 winner herself last year, Dynamic Pricing rated one spot ahead of Destino d'Oro down the backstretch and took first run at Modarosa on the lead. Slowly building momentum, Destino d'Oro found her stride late in the 1 1/16-mile test to finish under two lengths behind Dynamic Pricing and Modarosa.
Bred by Hurstland in partnership with Jamie Greene, Destino d'Oro inched closer to the $1 million mark in earnings, having garnered $970,884. The 4yo out of Gr1-placed Heart of Destiny (Lion Heart) was returning off a three-race winning streak, all graded stakes.
