The New York Racing Association recently announced further incentives to its Filly Turf Triple, inaugurated in 2019. Dubbed the "New York Stakes Turf Bonus" and "Flower Bowl Bonus", the bonus scheme ties together NYRA's three-year-old filly series with two all-aged standards on the calendar.
The “New York Stakes Turf Bonus” will provide $315,000 to the owner and $35,000 to the trainer of any previous winner of the Belmont Oaks, Saratoga Oaks or Jockey Club Oaks who then adds the 2021 edition of the Grade 2, $750,000 New York at 10-furlongs and run June 4th at Belmont.

The New York, traditionally run midway through Belmont's Spring/Summer meet, boasts an impressive roster of past winners (and influential broodmares) including Princess Pout, dam of Alleged, in 1971.
The “Flower Bowl Bonus” will provide $300,000 to the owner and $30,000 to the trainer of any previous winner of the Belmont Oaks, Saratoga Oaks or Jockey Club Oaks, and subsequently land the Grade 1, $600,000 Flower Bowl, run this year on September 4th at Saratoga.
A fixture on Belmont's Fall Championship schedule, the Flower Bowl will be contested for the first time upstate, and at a slightly longer 11 furlong distance. The Flower Bowl routinely produces one or more major contenders for the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf, and from its inception over four decades ago has showcased top-class fields assembled from both sides of the Atlantic.
The Turf Triple series kicks off July 10th at Belmont Park with the Grade 1, $700,000 Belmont Oaks Invitational. The series continues with the Grade 3, $700,000 Saratoga Oaks Invitational on August 8 at Saratoga and is completed by the Jockey Club Oaks at the Belmont Fall meet.
