Chanceux, first winning offspring of Gr1 winner Rosalind, took another step forward in his young career with a handy allowance score yesterday at Gulfstream Park.

The Speightstown colt rebounded from a 5th-place finish in an out-of-town stakes appearance to land the mile contest by two lengths in front-running fashion. Chanceux missed winning the Dania Beach S. at Gulfstream by a head on New Year's Day fresh off breaking his maiden in New York for Harrell Ventures, LLC and the Todd Pletcher barn.

Rosalind's full-sister Double Cast is due at Hurstland Farm to Mastery for a second season. The Broken Vow mare's first foal is a 2yo Kantharos colt. Rosalind herself foaled a Twirling Candy colt this season at Atlas Farm in Kentucky.

The now 11yo Rosalind and Double Cast are offspring of the Theatrical mare Critics Acclaim and tail-female descendants of Marguerite, dam of 1930 American Triple Crown winner Gallant Fox.
