No matter where well-traveled Anegada turns up nowadays, he runs his race.

The Hurstland Farm graduate took his strong recent form to Gulfstream Park for Saturday's Gr2 Mac Diarmida S. and finished a strong-closing 3rd.

Proving versatile as he's been consistent, the Midshipman gelding out of Love Cove (Not for Love landed the 12-furlong John B. Connally Turf Cup last out, pairing that with a previous win on Tapeta in the Last Hurrah S.

Turning back slightly in distance Saturday for trainer Mike Maker, Anegada rallied was finding his best stride near the conclusion of the 11-furlong fixture. He gained 3rd at the wire, finishing 1 1/4 lengths to MGSW Grand Sonata and Echo Lane.

Love Cove has 3yo Adhemar (Yorktown) currently training in Kentucky and a yearling Echo Town colt, both bred by Leonard Supchack. The dam of eight winners to date is due to Mo Town.
