No catchy headline required. The catalog for Keeneland's September Yearling Sale, deepest auction of its kind in the world, and one which counts participation from a vast portion of the global industry, is now live.

Keeneland has cataloged 4,147 horses for the 79th annual September Sale, covering 12 sessions from Sept. 12th-24th. Similar to the 2021 September Sale, Week 1 of this year’s auction will feature Books 1 and 2 during the first four days, offering more than 1,100 horses.

As per Keeneland's press release, yearlings cataloged in Book 1 are out of 36 Grade 1 winners and out of a total of 89 graded stakes winners overall; 50 are 1/2 siblings to Grade 1 winners and to 99 GSW overall.

No less significant is Keeneland September's depth, enabling the ability to source major winners on both dirt and turf well into the sale. In addition to the bevy of domestic stakes winners, European standouts including Roaring Lion, Kameko, and Lady Aurelia were all purchased out of the September Sale.
