Yearling sales season is in full swing, and the biggest of them all, Keeneland September, is now out.

The Lexington-based sales company released a catalog spanning five books (11 sessions total) beginning Sept. 13th. This year's renewal features a revised format including a RNA Reoffer at the conclusion of Book 1.

As always our perspective throughout Keeneland is two-fold, beginning with short-lists for each pre-sale order to the realization of matings in the ring. September also marks the beginning of our most significant stretch on the auction calendar, culminating with the year-end breeding sales here in Kentucky and Europe.

Most distinguishable about the marathon September Sale is its depth of quality, chiefly via consignments featuring America's preeminent breeders. Many such operations have upgraded families over generations with careful blending of domestic and international bloodlines. Not surprisingly, major European winners continue to emerge from the September ranks, right up through Roaring Lion and Kameko, both by leading U.S. sire Kitten's Joy.

Check back for both profiles of select September graduates and preview of this year's noteworthy consignments. Full details about Keeneland and its signature sale can be found at https://bit.ly/3k8ZwH3.

Note: In all facets of business we continue adhering to Covid-19 protocols which will be maintained through the sales season. That means utilizing a combination of access to pre-sale yearling shows, on-site final inspections, and a combination of live/remote bidding.
