Well-related Sparkle Blue, a GSW in her own right, kicks off 2024 in Saturday's Gr3 Endeavour S. at Tampa Bay Downs.

The 5yo Hard Spun mare, winner of Keeneland's Gr3 Valley View S. in 2022, is out of the Smart Strike mare Silk n' Sapphire & races for the partnership of George Strawbridge & breeder Catherine Parke. A return to her top form could mark the beginning of a big year for an outstanding American family.

Sparkle Blue's 1/2 sister, Shared Account (Pleasantly Perfect), now 18yo, is due to Into Mischief, while her daughter & fellow Breeders' Cup winner Sharing (Speightstown) is due to Tapit.
