A Get Stormy filly out of the fine Hurstland Farm producer Hookah Lady brought a winning bid of $102,000 from NBS Stables/John Ballantyne at this week's Fasig-Tipton July Yearling Sale.
As the lone entry in Alfred Nuckols' Hurstland consignment, the well-made chestnut and full sister to MGSW Get Smokin impressed onlookers from the moment she stepped off the van at Newtown Paddocks.
Now 6yo and 2nd in his last two starts, both graded stakes, Get Smokin has career earnings of $665,227.
Bred and owned in partnership by Hurstland with James Greene, Hookah Lady is also dam of an unnamed 2yo Vino Rosso colt who brought $550,000 at the OBS March Sale. The Smoke Glacken mare foaled a Classic Empire colt this past season.
