At $45,000, Cayuga's Waters (Langfuhr) was the first yearling purchase by Brant Laue. Winner of the Listed Pebbles Stakes at Belmont Park, she has truly outdone herself as a broodmare for the now established Kentucky breeder.
Representing the generations which have followed since that initial acquisition, here is her most successful runner to date, Gr2 Vagrancy H. winning daughter Glorious View (Pleasant Tap), with her brilliant Malibu Moon filly, at Hurstland Farm on a gorgeous July weekday.
Cayuga's Waters produced an American Pharoah colt this year and is carrying a three-quarter sibling to this filly, by Malibu Moon, whereas Glorious View was bred back to Pulpit's multiple Gr1 winning son Lord Nelson. Both NY stakes winning mares exude a similar presence and class demeanor throughout their producing careers at Hurstland.
